Led by Munawar Pallimeera
Accountist is based in Windsor, Ontario, and led by Munawar Pallimeera, who brings more than 15 years of accounting, audit, and bookkeeping experience to a growing client base across Windsor, Essex County, and Southern Ontario, with remote service available across Canada and the USA.
Before founding Accountist, Munawar served as Financial Controller at a Mississauga-based company, where responsibilities included quarterly budgeting and forecasting, financial statement preparation, payroll and source deduction remittances, GST/HST and WSIB filings, oversight of the accounts receivable and collections function, supervision of the accounting department, and CRA audit support on payroll and GST/HST matters.
Earlier experience includes several years as a Senior Staff Accountant with a Mississauga-area public accounting firm, supporting Audit, Review, and SOX engagements, full-cycle bookkeeping, and personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax preparation for a wide range of clients — alongside additional audit-focused roles in retail sales auditing and commercial credit underwriting.
Munawar holds a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Accounting, a Master of Commerce specializing in Accounting, and a Master of Economics, all from the University of Madras. Our team works as certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors (Desktop and QBO), and we're registered with the CRA for electronic filing (EFILE). Our clients span a wide range of industries — auto dealerships, daycares, manufacturing, construction, retail, health care, charities, rental properties, and more — so wherever your business fits, there's a good chance we've already worked with something similar.
